Emulator Issues #9015
closedImplement more emulated Wii Remote stuff for Android

Description
Even though I'm able to use some Wiimote functions by binding, I'm very limited to what I can bind with any of my bluetooth controllers. Since the D-Pad, Left Trigger, Right Trigger, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, and the right analog stick aren't used on my Nvidia Shield Controller, however, my idea would be to use those buttons to emulate tilting, swinging, and shaking, similar to how it was implemented to Dolphin Emulator for PC. It may sound a little odd, but since there's still room for button mapping, why not use them? For instance, I could use the D-Pad for tilting left, right, up, and down, use the right analog stick for swinging, and use Left Trigger, Right Trigger, and Right Bumper for shaking. Another one of my ideas would be to use the mouse or even the touchscreen as an IR pointer like the NES Zapper emulated for an NES emulator or the SuperScope emulated for a SNES emulator. It might be a little complicated, but if anyone were to implement the ability to use IR pointer to Dolphin Emulator itself, we would be closer to emulating even more Wii games!

Considering that the guy who started the Android port doesn't really care about the wagglewand at all, any work on wagglewand stuff wouldn't come from him, so this might take a while.

...Why was "Done" set at all? This issue tracker's doing weird things.

I'm confused about what you said about the "wagglewand".

"wagglewand" is just a Sonicadvance1-esque way to refer to the Wii Remote. Sonicadvance1 (also known as HdkR, the guy who started the ARM/Android port) hates waggle, so he would probably never work on Wii Remote stuff. The small amount that already exists in the Android UI is someone else's work.
I may as well mark this "Accepted" while I'm still here.

Why doesn't he like waggle? What did he do to Sonicadvance1?

Ignore the second question. I thought waggle was a username. [:-P]
