Emulator Issues #9702
openGames do not immediately react to changes made to AR codes while the game is running
0%
Description
- Start a game with an AR code enabled (make sure Enable Cheats is checked.)
- While the game is running, go to the game's Properties menu, uncheck the AR code and close the menu.
- The game will still behave as though the AR code were checked.
I suppose this could also be considered a feature request, as this only sort of worked before. When it did work, whenever you unchecked an AR code, you had to also exit the game's Properties menu and open it again before the changes came into effect, which is very tedious, especially as someone who plays around with AR codes and debug Dolphin a lot. I would be very grateful if an AR code could be completely enabled/disabled as soon as its checkbox is clicked.

There's actually a way to apply codes live somewhere in the emulator. I believe it's "Tools/Cheat Manager."

That's not what I'm talking about, but hopefully this video can explain better.

That's what the cheat manager is for, you can actually live edit the cheats while that is going. The cheats from the game properties page are added to INI and only looked at on game boot.

How do I do this? I can't see anything along the lines of an edit button.
