I've seen this bug reported before, it's likely legitimate. Can you enable logs and see if anything interesting happens when you try to access it?

How to open the log, is it passing the -d switch on the command line?
Something else I noticed last night, seems to happen if you only have one picture taken, need to test two, but with three I was able to browse them properly.

Well, regardless, if you can continue playing through the game in Dolphin, please do so and keep reporting these bugs.

If you only have one image, you cannot close the gallery
If you have two ore more images, you can switch between them and close, but both pictures are of blank static.
