What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Game freezes on a black screen.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1) Load the first disk
2) Start a new game
3) Skip or watch intro cutscenes
4) In the transition just before the protagonists enter the mansion, Dolphin freezes
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

I'd like to add that I've done some testing for this issue. The issue starts in Dolphin build 5.0-3981, 3977 was the last version to not have this crash.

Also, the crash isn't limited to starting a new game. It's the main hall on the first floor of the mansion itself that results in the crash. Loading a save file and then entering the main hall either by the main stairwell (the one with the picture that leads outside) or dining room will trigger the crash.
