Description

Game Name?

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

RSBP01 (0001000052534250)

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

1eb490f6e903311b0217358a0639d827

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

I entered Tourney mode, and immediately pressed the B button to go back to the 'Group' Menu. Instead of the game displaying the 'Now Loading' screen, the game crashed with a loud buzzing sound. I then tried Rotation mode, as that has the same screen as Tourney, the same crashed again.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start Super Smash Bros. Brawl
  2. Click 'Group'
  3. Click either 'Tourney' or 'Rotation'
  4. When the 'How many players' screen appears, press what is mapped as B or 1.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes. 5.0-8913

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

I don't know, as Dolphin 5.0 crashes whenever I try to open SSBB.

1eb490f6e903311b0217358a0639d827 is not a correct hash for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Please redump the game and try again. (If you are using a format like WBFS, please use ISO instead, otherwise we can't verify the dump.)

I completely forgot I was using a version patched for Wiimmfi.
here's the md5 hash for the unmodified game: 549c19aefd56c3651571c32e3c32e5b3
(I am using the PAL version, the issue still persists on the unmodified game.)

Okay, thanks. That is indeed the correct hash, so we can rule that out as the problem.

I was playing around in the menus again, and the same crash occurred when I backed out of the stage builder, the coin launcher, and when entering the Challenges sections in the vault.

Do you have any cheatcodes enabled? I feel like if this was a common issue we'd have a lot more reports on the forums and other places.
