Description

Game Name?

[Marvel Super Hero Squad]

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

[R38E78]

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

[e98806381bff03dafd15f8d5771f633c]

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[If you pause the game while in multiplayer battle mode, then Dr. Doom's coffee mug's steam will have a very jittery appearence]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[Boot the game and go to the main menu, choose battle, and then set up a game with any parameters. Once you are in a battle mode game, then press start to pause and you will notice Dr. Doom's coffee mug's steam has a jittery appearance. Tested on both D3D backends, and both had the issue. Software renderer had correct behavior but was unbearably slow.]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[5.0-10200]

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

[IDK]

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[i5 7500 GTX 1070 Windows 10 Pro 1809 8GB DDR4]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Anything else here]

Sounds like a valid issue, but, we require a fifolog to be able to debug this.

Please record a 3 frame fifolog when the effect is on screen. The fifolog should play back differently in software renderer and hardware renderer allowing us to debug what is different.

Is three frames not enough to show the issue? Software and Hardware looks the same for me there.

I recorded a 30 frame log and you can clearly see the effect but its too big (10mb)

In D3D11/12 you can see the white steam is clearly jittery but in software mode it is not, albeit slow
