Description

Game Name?

SpongeBob's Truth or Square

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

R8IE78

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Entering a certain menu consistently triggers an Unknown OpCode error

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  • Boot the game
  • On the title screen, press the Plus (+) button with the used (emulated) Wii Remote controller to access the Wii Motion Plus video guide the title screen offers.
  • Press A
  • An Unknown OpCode error pops up, although it won't crash the game after passing these notification windows, and will seemingly continue as normal, even going back to the title menu afterwards and trying to trigger the error again won't work (And thus will seemingly go as normal this time) unless the game is reset.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

5.0-15581, yes

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

I lack the capability to use Dolphin 5.0, so I can't say

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Windows 10

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

For the record, yes, this happened while in Single Core, so it isn't a GPU desync (on paper at least).

This is not caused by the recent single core timing change.

Tested in 2409-37 and this bug appears to be fully fixed, more specifically since 5.0-16019 after having done some bisection.
