What's the problem?

In Rex Alfred office, when check the book on the desk, photographing the last two pages with the black lines or the book at all the game freezes. Music keeps playing, but no controlls are possible anymore.

Is the issue present in the latest development version?

Yes, tested 5.0-17748
Emulator on default settings, also tested Synchronize GPU Thread tip from the wiki.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Nvidia RTX 3080, Windows 10

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue?

Played in German, but bug is also when playing in english.
After tabbing out and in again the screen is just black

I think this is an EFB timing issue. I don't think there's a way to outright fix it, but try messing with the emulated CPU clock to see if you can get past the hang.

This seems to have helped. I overclocked the CPU to 112% and then I could take the photos.

If the rest of the game is playable at 112% CPU clock, I could potentially add this to the INI. However, I'm afraid because it's such a specific timing issue it might cause hangs in other parts of the game.

I played the last two chapters with this setting. No problems.
Cutscenes, motion inputs even fast forward and the start of "new game+" where you can fast forward the texts. was all fine.
I don't think 112% is needed, I randomly choose this ^
