I confirm this on r4098, Also if you open the pad plugin config and change a key map,
then close and open config again. Now when you try and change a key it will always
map to the key you changed when the config was open the fist time.

And more, some keys (I tested the "," and numpad 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 keys) always
trigger the message "failed to register, might be already in use", but they're not
assigned to any other command.
