Description
is possible have a version for haiku os? easy or very hard?... yeah haiku os
is not finish yet but... i am a fan of this OS.
Nobody uses Haiku OS, and support of OpenGL is FAR behind other platforms. I'd
suggest just using Linux... it's a pain to add support for an OS as primitive as Haiku.
Yes, I understand, but to be following the project I like to sow doubt.
Also I can tell you soon will be in OpenGL, because GSOC and is one of the ideas,
Gallium 3d port to haiku this year, and well I like to sow doubts, for people to try
it, note that an operating system is very worthy even today still alpha, but I
understand that it is still complex.
But.. think about it :).
Bye and thanks.
Dolphin depends on OpenGL 2.1 and the open source drivers are still far from reaching
that support. While they've already reached OpenGL 2.0, that's the non-G3D drivers.
Don't know about the state of G3D drivers, but the only one to be mature enough
within the next ~3 years is most likely radeon. It'll still need at least two years
until its stable and supports 2.1. THEN it needs to have been ported completely to
Haiku and THEN we might think about supporting Haiku in Dolphin, but now it really
doesn't make much sense to support an OS whose graphics drivers won't be able to run
Dolphin anyway.
- Status changed from New to Won't fix
What NeoBrain said, in addition to all the other subsystems the OS would have to support...dolphin isn't an OS
development project, sorry :p
(Come back when it's better?)
