Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Configuring the resolution of the window.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect my game to be 1280x720 when I set it in Dolphin Config menu, but
instead it is running at 1264x682.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r5449, r5456, and any other new revision.

Please provide any additional information below.
Alright, there's quite a lot to add to this. First of all, I have r5280 as
well, and the problem doesn't happen there. I recently updated my Dolphin
to r5449, and the first thing I noticed is that you set the resolution in
the General Config menu now, instead of the D3D Plugin. You also have to
enter the resolution manually now, instead of picking from a dropdown box
like in r5280.

In any case. This issue has to do with the fact that the "GUI" Window is
taken into the calculation now of 1280x720. This means the borders around
the actual game. The GUI in r5280 is in a resolution of 1296x758 by
default. So when you set 1280x720 there, it actually is that size.

So in order to get around the problem of not being able to obtain 1280x720,
I had to enter 1296x758 as resolution in the Config.

This is definitely a bug in the gui / configuration of Dolphin. People who
don't make videos or screenshots won't notice this, but the people that do
make it like me are affected by this problem.

I tried doing a clean installation of Dolphin too, but this didn't fix the
problem. And as mentioned, in r5280, setting it to 1280x720 -IS- 1280x720.

I hope I gave enough info regarding this issue, and that there's a way to
fix this.
