Description

I'm using a USB gamepad to play Zelda: Twilight Princess and the left analog stick isn't working properly. I can only move Link diagonally, up-right or down-left. It's the same case even in the first screen which asks for your name - the letter selection only moves diagonally. I've tried tweaking the config a bit but no luck.

I'm running Dolphin 32-bit buil 4771 with nJoy 0.3 on a Windows XP SP3 machine.

P.S. The Gamepad isn't Logitech or anything, it's an unheard of brand, but the drivers are up-to-date and it's fully functional with other games, even emulators of other consoles.

r4771 is Old. 2.0 has been released some time ago.
It sounds like you haven't set up your axes correctly in nJoy.
Anyways, nJoy is no longer being developed. Use GCPadNew. (included in Dolphin 2.0)

I downloaded Dolphin 2.0 and config-ed it. It responds normally when I set up the control scheme, showing me the axis movements and everything but now the game doesn't recognize the controller at all. I'm stuck at the "press any button" screen.

Try re-selecting your gamepad in the GCPadNew config after having started the game (while the game is running).
There is a bug in 2.0 with devices that have trailing spaces in their names.
