Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Configure GCPad with your own preference
  2. Start Summoner
  3. After pressing start, use either dpad or movement stick to select something other than New Game...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You end up moving two spaces instead of one, makes it quite impossible to configure or play the game. I assume that all buttons behave like this, but can't get far enough into the game to test that due to the stick/dpad itself not working right...

Dolphin version with the problem? Other Dolphin version without the
problem?
Occurs in at least svn 6225, has been reported as long ago as late May, though not through official channels.

32-bit or 64-bit and any other build parameters?
I use standard Windows 64 bit release builds that I build myself with Visual Studio 2008.

OS version and versions of tools/libraries used?
Windows 7 Professional 64bit, fully up-to-date everything... (or at least no more than a couple months out of date)

Please provide any additional information below.
This is obviously game-specific, though I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are other games with similar problems due to odd use of the controller on the original system... The game is probably using some sort of undocumented controller mode that we don't really understand right now... Though I'd be happy to try to help a dev test theories and ideas - I have the tools and knowledge enough to be a competent tester, I can't really write any code myself. (My programming experience is limited primarily to hacks and scripts with only about a year of formal study with C++)
