Emulator Issues #3527
closedNewer revisions have some slowdown
0%
Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Load any iso (i was testing twin snakes and force unleashed 2)
- Once in game notice how as you move the speed tends to change (like a little slow to fast and back to slow) and I mean the speed of the character (no matter if the emulator says it's going 60fps) it's kinda like a jump
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It's not that much the speed changes but it's noticiable as a little jump and in some games it can be bothering. Also what happened to the "native" option to the internal resolution?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
6438 x32 x64
Intel(R) Core2Duo 2.53 2gb
GeForce 8400 gs 512
windows7 x64

Try disabling frame limit OR limiting by FPS (or by VPS if you're already limiting by FPS), if it goes fullspeed then, this issue is valid.
However, if this is still the case, you're just seeing micro-hickups inside the FPS-display-update-interval (making this issue invalid).
Please report back which one is the case.
Make sure to disable audio throttle btw.

Forget it, it's fixed on r6541 ;) (and i don't have to use FPS limiter nor VPS)
-NOW IF YOU WHERE CURIOUS ABOUT THAT REVISION I MENTIONED-
Eitherway I tried it r6438 out of curiosity and locking the FPS to 60 did make the games stop jumping speeds (sort off, it tends to have some slowdowns, but that is normal due to process i guess) the thing is... doing this it REALLY messes up the sound speed (for example during video secuencies you will hear someone talking but they do not finish the sentence as it will sound chopped "need to check it on mgs twin sakes" i only tried on force unleashed)
if i left the fps limiter on in "Auto" game does change speed a LOT just not chopping the game (but it tends to go from super fast to normal speed)
anyway, STATUS OF THIS ISSUE is now INVALID :)
thx
