Problem: As the title says, New Super Mario Bros. will randomly revert it's save data. I was last on World 2 at the first castle, but now it is showing me that I haven't completed 2-1 or 2-2.
Dolphin version: I am using r7045, but this has been happening in older revisions as well.
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Game ID: SMNE01

- Status changed from New to Invalid
The game only allows saving after beating a castle.

i have the same problem. I played about 5 levels on world one, went to quick save too and when i returned to the game it was like i never even played everything i had completed reset back to first level only open. Any fix yet??

Omega, did you load from the quick save, then stop the game or have Dolphin crash before you could quick save again?
Also, again, the game only allows you to make normal saves after beating a castle.
"Any fix yet??" No, there's nothing to fix. Either you're doing something wrong, or it randomly decided not to save/load properly. (And I hate when people ask questions like that...)

I don't use "save states" i use the in-game ones always. I beat the first castle and it did ask me to save, on world 1. When i resumed my game play it was like i never played and all levels were locked.

I never mentioned save states, I only mentioned the in-game quick saves. (I do personally use save states as my save mechanism for this game, though.)
But, yeah, I don't know what happened there. Try playing to that castle again, and if the same thing happens again, file a new issue.
