Description

What's the problem ?
If "Cache Display Lists" is turned on,
Metroid Prime starts to show graphic
issues (and rarely some corrupt textures).

Dolphin version with and without the problem ?
Nearly all revisions which support "Cache Display Lists"
have these issues, except the earliest versions.

Operating system and version:
I´m using Windows Vista 64-bit

Non-issue. That's why it's in the speed hacks section. Speed comes at a price. Just turn it off for more accuracy, e.g. less bugs.

It doesn´t matter if its´s in the speed hacks section.
It doesn´t matter if it´s a hack, because a bug is a bug.
And the Cache Display Lists function is still not finished.
Also I don´t believe you know the code and how it works,
so you can´t tell me I have to accept the issue and
other users point out problems related to this, too --> Objection denied.

While it certainly is under the speed hacks section, it's one of the things which shouldn't cause any issues...
Fwiw, I'm wondering whether we shouldn't move it to the advanced tab anyway, but that's unrelated to this issue.

So I assume it's only an option currently because it does cause issues? The tooltip does elude to that. I think it's currently location is the most fitting and hopefully can just be removed one day when all issues have been sorted out.

Well regardless we're not there yet. I've noticed a number of gfx issues with this option even on current revs and I thought that just how it was when you use a speed hack. If we want these reported, then I'll have to remember what games and what the issue for each was. I know for sure that this option causes "smearing" of character animations in Mario Golf - impossible to miss.

So do we want ONE thread for all the gfx issues with Dlist cache enabled or do we want individual ones or do we need everything reported?

For now Cache Display Lists causes little graphic corruption in Metroid Prime 1 it seems it's getting better with time's going no crashes, when Metroid 2 & 3 look perfect
The only game i know that actually crashes from this option is DeBlob

Since option itself is removed, this one is obsolete
