Emulator Issues #5030
closedEvery event that requires Wolf Link to input Howl freezes the game.

Description
This is a updated version of another issue I reported, as I did further testing:
- Game Name and ID: The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (GZ2E01)
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
R- Howling or doing Howl related events shouldn't freeze the game. As described, every event that requires Wolf Link to Howl input in response freezes the game, be it 'Listen', 'Howl', etc. Be it on calling grass, howling stones or sound events that require response.
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
R- Never used earlier versions of Dolphin.
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load up the game
2.intereact with objects that require Howling in response.
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)?
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
R-
3.0-204-dirty x64 on Windows 7 Home Basic x64
Athlon II P340 2.2 GHz
Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Emulator settings are the same ones from Issue 5029, except now I have audio throttle unchecked for speed purposes.
6) Please provide any additional information below.
The error is intermitent, so I don't think is a sound issue. Sometimes it freezes right on spot after input, sometimes works the first time with normal input, then freezes on second input; sometimes it works by pressing two buttons at the same time and sometimes it freezes even by pressing two buttons(as happened when doing "Howl" in the Triforce place in Sacred Grove right after defeating "Skull Kid".

"Speed Up Disc Transfer" is already enabled on both the emulator and rom settings.
Here's the save state:

I couldn't reproduce it here. I howled and howled at a grass and no freeze/crash using your save. I will try your settings to see if something else is responsible.

I tried many different grasses again and again and nothing. My guess is that your pc is weak to keep 100% speed all the time and that part needs good audio synchronization.

When the event triggers, the audio goes synchronized as normal. Also, that still won't explain why pressing two buttons at the same time will sometimes trigger the event properly.

Even if my guess is wrong that doesn't change the fact that i can't reproduce it here using your settings.

Update:
Disabling "Enable Dual Core" apparently solves the problem, but I'm not sure about it.
