Emulator Issues #5049
closedDolphin Uses Intel Graphics on D3D11 and not NVidia Card
0%
Description
Whenever I try to switch the backend to Direct3D11, the emulator has the Intel Graphics as the adapter and not the NVidia one. However, when I switch to Direct3D9 and OpenGL, my NVidia card is the adapter option.
Specs:
Intel Core i7 2670QM 2.2 Ghz
6 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GT 525M 2 GB w/ Optimus (Driver version: 285.62)
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Running Dolphin v.3.0-204 64-bit.
Here is a screenshot of the options menus:

To make this even weirder, when I run any game under D311, it seems to be using the NVidia card anyway. Strange...

So really a non-issue since really that is what Optimus is made to do.

- Status changed from New to Invalid
Ya, can't do much about it when an Optimus setup is reporting itself as Intel.

right-click on dolphin, there should be an option 'run with graphics processor' and there should be a choice betwen intel hd and nvidia.

im having the same problem, with a gt540m
d3d11 seems selected but as soon as the game starts it uses my hd3000...
my hd3000 does not support directx11 but my gt540m does...
on the directx11 settings the intel actully beats the gt540m...
which makes me wonder if its using the 540m regardless, bios states intel dirext11 backend. framerate new super mario bros 45 fps framerate dk country 18 framerate goldeneye 11.
also my processor has turbo boost and dolphin keeps using 1.6 ghz

I have the same problem since Dolphin 3.5 (the first version I tried).
