The new japanesse VC neogeo game "Shock troopers" doent works neither. Same problem
- Status changed from New to Invalid
Try using the latest Dolphin (3.0-690).
Actually this is NOT resolves. Sound from most VC games including Neo-Geo is HORRIBLE. The worst example is King Of Fighters 94 for Neo-Geo VC game. Every second the sound buffer updates, and with each update, for that entire second there's a loud but slightly different sounding buzz. It's like
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaia
ooooooooooooooooooo
eaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeae
etc.
seriously can someone fix this?
At this rate I'd do better downloading a Neo-Geo emulator and playing a Neo-Geo rom on that emulator, than trying to get Dolphin to emulate a Wii which in turn is trying to emulate a Neo-Geo.
A) This issue is about games crashing on startup, not audio issues within the games. File a new issue, but only if you're running the games at full speed. (Also try XAudio or OpenAL to see if either of those help.)
B) Yes, a dedicated Neo-Geo emulator is better. The only VC games that are better in Dolphin than in a dedicated emulator are N64 games. Every N64 emulator is horrible, none of them "just work" for 90% of games.
