Description

  1. Game Name: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker GZLE01

  2. Entering Forest Haven, after defeating the Chu Jelly monsters on the Deku Tree, you have to use the Deku flowers to ascend to the top of the tree to collect the Deku Leaf. Instead, upon entering a Deku Flower to 'jump' up, the entire application crashes, with the dialog to Ignore, Report or Reopen.

  3. This problem did not exist in the previous version, having recently fixed the previous issue with the area, issue 5196

  4. Enter the Forest Haven, and find the Deku Flower to jump in (the Chus must have been defeated from the Deku Tree's face.)

  5. I am using Dolphin 3.0-715 for Mac OSX, using an iMac 21.5" late 2011 model at 16GB RAM. Using Dolphin at 1920*1080 resolution, in full screen.

I can't reproduce this on OS X, though I'm much further into the game.

I can't reproduce this on Windows 7 64 bit either, but like pauldacheez I'm much further in the story. Could you please provide a savegame and the exact settings you are using? Also what GPU does your Mac have?

It's an ATi Radeon HD 6750M with 256 MB of GDDR3, according to Mactracker.

If you have any options checked in Graphics > Hacks > Other, uncheck them - they often cause problems, especially crashes.

Also did you use savestates? They often lead to problems.

Could you try it with this save and report if the crash occurs:

Apologies for late reply. Graphics on my iMac are AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB, running OSX Lion 10.7.4 (11E53). All options except Disable Per-Pixel Depth are unchecked, however, if unchecked, the issue is still present.

I have included a link to the error report for you to look through: http://cl.ly/000D0f3P052N1X0u112a

Also, I loaded the save file linked in the previous comment, and the application quit as I entered the Deku flower.

I don't use savestates, only proper saves.

Thanks for this error report, it was very useful.

Looks like this is another regression from the EFB access cache :(

I also have a problem in this area. However, i just get a black screen after the Deku Tree tells me to climb up and get the leaf from his head. It just goes black and i can't finish my game. I'm using the Dolphin 3.0-716.

Can you try to disable EFB access from CPU? It's a checkbox in the graphics settings.

Just tried disabling EFB access from CPU, under the graphics options. Application crashed even before entering the Deku Flower. Another error repot http://cl.ly/1G2H1O2F462u182Y2S3R

Just a quick update that the issue is still present when updated to 3.0-721

I suck too much at Zelda to reproduce this issue. Could someone upload me a save file just next to a deku flower? :D

I know how to solve this problem . Before fight with the Chus , you should save your game by 2 ways , Savesates of Dolphin emulator and Save-load of the own game . If you get crash , load by the Save-load of the own game ( Not Savestate ) , then you will pass that crash .
A signal that you would notice if the game could run normally ( not crash at some special point in game ) is there will be some strange sounds .

the no save state thing worked for me!!!

I just did it with normal saves and it was smooth the whole time
