Description

I dont know if this is a dumb thing to support but..

Some of us have dedicated professional sound cards (Xonar, Creative X-Fi, etc), and yet Dolphin cant take advantage of it.

Would it make a difference in speed if it did?

I'd like to see this added somewhere in the future, but I know as well as some others do that it may never happen.

What kind of support are you having in mind?
Windows 8 is returning to roots and adding back support for Direct sound

LLE is using CPU, not sound card as processing power

So this will automatically fix itself in Windows 8?

Sound Blaster cards have a built in fix for this. "ALchemy"

"Creative ALchemy restores hardware accelerated sound so that you can enjoy EAX effects and 3D Audio when playing DirectSound3D games in Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7"

Not sure it would help Dolphin any though.

"hardware accelerated sound"

Thats exactly what I was seeking for LLE. LLE is too slow, and when I suggested this I believed the proper name for this request was non-CPU based LLE Processing. Not necessarily using a Sound Card's processor to do the dirty work which was, well, not what would work.
