Description

Game: Mario Kart Wii [PAL] ~ RMCP01

Normally the game should continue running, but instead, when I load a savestate with TAS Input opened, Dolphin crashes every time.

I have not tried using TAS Input on a previous version.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Loading ISO
2.Opening TAS Input
3.Loading from a state

I am using Dolphin 3.0-715 32bit Windows 7, Intel Core 17-2600, 3.4GHz

I will give any other information if needed.

Thanks!

I was coming to report an issue looking like this one, andsince it's probably the same bug I'll put my report here instead of opening a duplicate issue:

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):

Game: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker [NTSC] - GZLE01

  1. What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Attempting to replay a previously recorded TAS (.dtm) will result in a crash at "Decompressing State"

  1. Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
    problem began.

I don't know, probably thought since there is videos of Wind Waker being TAS'ed

  1. What steps will reproduce the problem?
  1. Start playing Wind Waker by double-clicking/opening it/clicking on play, then use the option "Start Recording"
  2. Activate "Frame Stepping" mode, play your game
  3. Press "X" to quit the game, Dolphin will ask you a filename for your recorded movie. Both .dtm and .dtm.sav file will be created
  4. Load .dtm file by using the option "Play recording". Dolphin will try to decompress state and crash
  5. The .dtm will work if we try to load it on another game (probably because Dolphin will refuse to load a savestate for an incompatible game)

Also, I don't know if it is an expected behaviour or not, so I'll report it anyway: When running the game using "Start recording" for the first time, and then exiting the game, Dolphin will only save a .dtm. When using "Start Recording" after launching the game, exiting the game will save both a .dtm and a savestate with the extension .sav.dtm.

I can't reproduce this issue on the last revision. Could you provide precise instructions on how to get the crash to happen?

I'm fairly certain this is invalid. The steps listed definitely do not, and have never caused dolphin to crash. malleoz, if you still have a problem with the latest revision, please explain in further detail how to cause the crash, or i'm closing this.

As for WT2409622781's issues, the first should either be fixed now, or was just a bad save state, and the second is working as intended.
