- Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties:
smashbros brawl
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
loading from a dual layered disc, should load the game, hangs on black screen
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
works perfectly fine on my wii
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
backup and burn smashbros brawl to a dual layer disc (no content ripped)
insert into pc DVD drive and click load form DVD in dolphin
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

this may affect other dual layer disc games that run from disc. i only own brawl though

tested with latest build for "retardness" and still non working

Only game images work with dolphin not original disks or backups. Unless if you burn them as data disks that contain an image and load that image from the disk. Single layer backups won't work either.

i have burnt gamecube games that work (they also work on my wii like original discs that use cMIOS)

backups should work (assuming they are burnt correctly) and playing on the wii should be an indicator that they will work with dolphin's boot from dvd drive feature.
single layer wii game backups work for me, as well as gamecube. ssbb will boot if mounted to a virtual dvd drive. I think it may boot if you are patient enough, I will test it

yup, it works. just give it more time, about 2 minutes from boot to ingame

So correctly burned backups work? Interesting to know, never tried it... Perhaps speed up disk transfer in the game properties can help with load times? With virtual drive it started instantly here btw.
