Description
- Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
"RSBE01", etc):
<Viewtiful Joe> ID: GVJE08
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
In Dolphin 3.0.776 it works smoothly. However problems arose in 3.0.877. Configurations are the same. Below issues are only on 3.0.877 but not on 3.0.776:
(a) have audio de-synchronized with video in the first cutscene. (audio faster than the video playing)
(b) also in the mid of the first cutscene, the audio will suddenly change to left speaker only. Right speaker has no sound at all. It will be back to normal after the cutscene.
(c) the game cannot proceed at the end of the first stage. At the end of the first stage, a slot machine will appear, and then the bot will come out. However in 3.0.877 it quite often happens that the slot machine will appear, and then the boss doesn't come out. So the game cannot proceed there. This issue does not seem to be a game freeze.
(d) the music will occasionally go weird. I use DSP HLE setting for audio.
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
Works good on Dolphin 3.0.776 but unstable on newer Dolphin 3.0.877
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
- The problems seems to come out randomly. I tried different settings on the emulator but the issues seemed to come out randomly.
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
Dolphin 32bit version. It appears in the title bar "Dolphin-3.0.877-dirty".
Windows XP SP3, direct X9, display cards is Radeon HD5670 (1G ram). CPU Pentium Dual-core E6600 @ 3.06GHz. System ram 2G.
6) Please provide any additional information below.

There is a new audio backend being worked on right now.
For now, the only way to have it correct would be to use LLE or the old revision.
