Have you searched the issue tracker for a similar issue? Yes

Game Name? Any, but most noticeable in Super Smash Bros Brawl

Game ID? Any, but most noticeable in RSBP01

What went wrong? Gamepads slows emulation in a little but annoying percentage.

What did you expect to happen? Play normally without these slowdowns

What steps will reproduce the problem?
-Open any game, but recommend you SSBB to notice better the problem
-Connect a gamepad (or my gamepad) (here dolphin stills 100%
-Click on refresh in the GCPad dialog...
-See emulation speed (here speed drops down from 100% to ~85%)

What version of Dolphin were you using (please test the latest version
from http://dolphin-emu.org/download first, 3.5 or 3.5-367 are not valid
tests!)? 3.5-1551 but this is an issue that happened to me before... since i use this gamepad in particular (a genius maxfire grandias 12v (http://www.geniusnet.com/wSite/ct?xItem=16779&ctNode=163))

64 or 32 bit Dolphin? 64 bits

What version of Dolphin used to work? As i remember this not happeingn in linux.... maybe a driver problem? i don't know
But from a few months, linux support for me is broken
What Operating System were you using and what are your hardware
specifications? Windows 7

64 or 32 bit Operating system? x64

Any other relevant information or links to logs:

i made a video demonstrating this: http://youtu.be/hTH8p3YSXSc

I'd like to know what is happening rather than solve the problem
:) thanks in advice

I see some minor speedloss while the Gamepad window is open, but it returns to normal once I close the window. I was using Brawl as the test bed, and a Mayflash GC Adapter as my controller.

This is almost certainly a gamepad driver issue. This is not a dolphin issue.
