Your answers are here!

Game Name? Metroid Prime 2

Game ID? G2MP01

What went wrong? For example, if I shot and killed an enemy in the game, the shooting and dying sound would play, but later the sound would play again.

What did you expect to happen instead? Normal sounds

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have played the game and know its level names. Be as
detailed as possible.]

  1. Shoot/kill
  2. Dying sound may occasionally play again after some time. (unconfirmed, but, I think it may happen when a number of sounds (or maybe just dying sounds) play either at once or close after each other)

Dolphin 3.5 and Dolphin 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs. Have you tested with the latest version from
http://dolphin-emu.org/download ?

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? 3.5 1857

Which version of Dolphin used to work? None

What are your PC specifications (example: Operating System, CPU and GPU)?
2630QM
GTX560M
8GB 1866 DDR3 RAM
Integrated IDT Audio
64 or 32 bit Operating System? 64

64 or 32 bit Dolphin? 64

files)

Do not attach files to this issue. Upload them to another site and

I was using Xaudio2 and DSP dedicated did not change anything. (not using audio throttle either)

same issue as I posted.

Only happens top me when I kill the ing. Is that what you experience as well? Or happens when you kill other enemies?

  • Status changed from New to Questionable

You did not say whether you were using DSP HLE or DSP LLE. Specify. And you gave nothing that can be used to reproduce it. Details! Stuff like what nigel just posted. And we'll need an audio log of it.

HLE. Also attached a file. The repeated sounds appear to be of lower volume and you will hear them at the end of the file.
Yeah I THINK it only happens when killing ing (including the boost ball guardian)

DO NOT UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS. Googlecode as a very small allowance of upload room, room the developers need for developing dolphin, and you just took up a bunch of it. Use external sites like mediafire to host stuff then link to them!

(yes it sucks, the devs are going to do something about it soon)

You dont have to use caps. Also, it said there was a 10 MB upload limit and i only used 2.2 MB. Yes that is VERY big.

Also, sometimes I start hearing static that can get pretty loud. might be related to this

If i save state while static is on (static doesnt seem to end but starts rarely at random) and load it, static continues.

Can you try this in the latest development builds?

I would love to help, but I replaced my GC Metroid Prime 2 with the Wii Metroid Prime Trilogy pack. (yes, you can still buy it from many gamestop locations as they do reprints)

Perhaps someone else can look into this?

  • Status changed from Questionable to Fixed

This sounds like an issue that would have been fixed by Dolphin 4.0-3619 (b4e82a5b9bd36d3a7c8e2d0e7698e1ea47f30b13)
