What went wrong?
The game acts as if there is no input from my gamepad even though it is well set up. I have tried other games such as Super Smash Bros Brawl and they detect the input correctly.
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the game to detect the input from the emulated gamecube controller.

Dolphin 3.5 and Dolphin 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs. Have you tested with the latest version from

Windows 7. The rest probably is not relevant to the problem.

Again, the gamecube controller works on any other games I have tested it on.
The game controller is a PS3 controller using MotioninJoy

Oops, uh.
Steps:
1)Open Monster Hunter Tri with only a Gamecube controller emulated
2)Press buttons

Monster Hunter Tri doesn't read the GameCube controller by default, I believe you have to go in the game and set it. On Wii, I had to use a Wiimote to get to that point, at least, but it's been a few years so I could be wrong.

Basically this game doesn't use the GameCube controller because it was one of the games that were meant to make people buy the classic controller pro.
