'Shake to spinjump' feature not working with Gamepad emulating Wiimote on Mario Galaxy

What went wrong?
Mapped a button to the 'shake' command, X, Y and Z. Tried with nunchuck and wiimote. Mario simply does not spin at all after he jumps, so the game does not respond to this command.

What did you expect to happen instead?
Expected him to spin on command, so perform a spin that boosts his aerial distance.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have played the game and know its level names. Be as
detailed as possible.]

  1. Go into any segment of the game where you control Mario
  2. Jump and press the button set to the 'shake' command

Dolphin 3.5 and Dolphin 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs. Have you tested with the latest version from
http://dolphin-emu.org/download ?
Downloaded the latest stable version (4.0.2 I believe)

4.0.2 and 3.0.807-Dirty

I have searched through your troubleshooting and FAQs, and the best returns I have found are hilariously rude people acting like helpless idiots and getting shot down, or 'middle mouse button on your mouse will do the trick'. Despite the latter, because I am using a Gamepad I am pretty sure that I cannot assign the middle mouse button to work with a Gamepad. Also I wouldn't want that due to having to have the mouse and the pad ready.

After assigning buttons to the 'shake' command, the closest I got was seeing the pointer in the game quickly shake, but nothing of Mario spinning. This led me to assume that the 'shake' is only for the IR pointer somehow.

I have searched for so long and this seems to be the only place that can give me an informed answer. I saw someone else completely miss the point of an exact question like this and they started being bitter with the OP. I am being polite as I can and from what I have gathered, I really do think that the 'shake' command isn't working in some form. If this isn't the case and someone knows the fix, please be polite with me because I am trying my hardest not to be a noob.

Thinking about it, maybe the 'shaking of the entire remote' button mapping has been omitted by mistake? I don't know how the devs work on the Emulator so I am only throwing about guesses, sorry.
