Description

Game Name: Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Game ID: RSBE01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words: When starting a group brawl, an error appears saying "WriteNormalOp - a1 cannot be imm" and the emulation goes black. Clicking "Yes" on the error makes the error appear again, and clicking "No" crashes Dolphin.

What did you expect to happen instead?: The brawl game should have started and the game should be playable.

What steps will reproduce the problem?:

  1. Get to the main menu of the game (No save was used when issue occurred)
  2. Select the "Group" option
  3. Select the "Brawl" option from the next menu
  4. Select a character and enable a CPU opponent
  5. Press start
  6. Press start again

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?: 4.0-2925

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?: Yes. The game works fine on 4.0.2

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU):

  • Windows 7 x64
  • i7 3770K
  • GTX 680

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
