Emulator Issues #8035
closedNative GameCube Controller Support Via Nintendo Wii U GameCube Adapter gives incorrect centering
0%
Description
Game Name?
All, but tested F-Zero GX - GFZE01
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
With this adapter, you'd expect to get 1:1 input with a GameCube controller vs that of the actual console, as were my initial tests with the adapter indicated. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong along the way and now it doesn't seem to be centered.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected it to be centered properly, like Console.

Same Controller, BTW
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
0. Actually own a Wii U GC Adapter and be able to use it with Dolphin
- Start up F-Zero GX
- Go to Options
- Go to Controller Calibration
- Observe differences between it on Emulator vs Console
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-4875 on Windows and Linux
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Not sure; I need to test earlier versions of the Pull Request.
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Core i5 3570K, GTX 760, Windows 7 x64
Core i7 2670QM, GTX 560m Ubuntu 14.04

If I use my Mayflash on Dinput, it looks like the controller is correctly centered (!) on the latest builds of Dolphin.

I'm getting an issue where when a game starts, any controller port without a controller plugged in will default both the main stick and c stick to the top right corner, instead of remaining neutral (or possibly recognizing the controller as unplugged?)

This works perfectly. Thank you so much for this feature! Myself and and I'm sure many others appreciate it.
(I hope you guys are planning a new netplay build, and that it has this fix!)
Thanks again for all your time and effort.
