Description
Game Name?
All, but most visible in Zelda Skyward Sword
Game ID?
SOUP01
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Since Dolphin 4.0 release, I've been having a high latency using an official Wiimote (the collector golden Zelda Wiimote Plus) along with my computer's integrated bluetooth adapter.
And this even when the game is running at more than 30fps.
In some games like Skyward Sword itself or MadWorld, which rely heavily on the Wiimote's real time movement, it becomes barely playable.
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expect the wiimote to work in almost real time, like it did in Dolphin 3.5.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
In Dolphin settings, enable wiimote vibration and disable sound data.
Play the game until you receive the sword, and try wielding it around. Check if it responds well.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-5962
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
There are two ways to get rid of the problem :
- Play on Dolphin 3.5-1504
- Play on 4.0-5962, but using a DolphinBar
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
Issue is not present when using either an old Dolphin build or a DolphinBar.
In fact, I believed for long that this problem was only due to the performance issues on Dolphin 4 (for long I was never able to achieve good performance since the removal of the Direct3D9 engine).
That's why I kept Dolphin 3.5 at hand, as everything remained playable on it.
However, trying recent Dolphin 4 builds, I've noticed that the performance on D3D11 engine has really improved (kudos for that by the way) and games would play correctly again.
However, this wiimote reactivity issue was still present. So I assumed it was not just a performance issue after all.
In the end, I just got my hands on a DolphinBar and it all seems to be working smoothly.
But still, something must have changed between Dolphin 3.5 and Dolphin 4, so that my integrated bluetooth adapter works fine with the old version and does not with the latest.
