Description

Game Name?
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Game ID?
G8ME01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Under OpenGL, paper mode and transitions drop frame rate from 60 fps to 20 fps.

What did you expect to happen instead?
Frame rate stays at 60 fps. Frame rate does not drop under Direct3D.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. In the game, enter paper mode (LTrig) or induce a transition (go down a pipe). The frame rate drops (for me) from 60 fps to 30 or 20 fps.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-6953

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue?
No frame rate drop on 4.0-3610 under the same conditions (i.e., works fine under OpenGL).

What are your PC specifications?
Windows 7 x64
i5-4690K @ 4.4 GHz
GeForce 960 2GB
16 GB RAM

My screenshot is of PMTTYD using the widescreen AR code, but it happens regardless of whether I'm using that code.

This is a performance issue with more accurate bounding box, but we already have an issue for that. Thank you.
