Does it work if you use the interpreter? Does it work if you use the software renderer?

Nope the interpreter does not fix the problem and it makes it a lot slower

Can you bisect? Or has this always happened?

The same thing happens to me on my Samsung Galaxy S7; however, if I have Ignore Format Changes turned on and enter a course, nothing will render on screen throughout the entire game, even in the title screen and menus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cF9_YktsDs).

I've tried using older builds of Dolphin to see if anything would show up after starting a race, but nothing has changed. My assumption would be that the video drivers are to blame for this.

It turns out my assumption is false after I installed 4.0-9075 and ran Mario Kart: Double Dash!! again (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V92h4hdTHJY). Starting with 4.0-9077, entering a course will only show a black screen with audio in the background.

Is it worth adding Android bugs to this topic or start a new one?

Each issue report is supposed to be about one bug only. If you have a different Android bug, make a new report.

Well the exact same thing happens on a different phone

  • Status changed from New to Invalid

These are likely driver issues and even if they weren't, there's nothing we can do about it. If ignore format changes had issues in desktop drivers, we'd know about it by now.
