What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Attempting to use anti-aliasing results in a warning/error window, stating "Failed to compile vertex shader!". Identical windows usually immediately pop up after dismissing the first window, but they eventually stop appearing (takes a few seconds of holding Enter at the default macOS key repeat rate). At this point, the game is displayed as a black screen. Other than that, it appears to be running fine, because trying to navigate the menu produces the normal sounds, and nothing sounds odd with the music. On some occasions, attempting to navigate the menu (e.g. going from title screen to main menu) while the screen is black would produce another window, with the same error as before.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Open Dolphin, start Melee. Open Graphics window, go to Enhancements, then select any of the antialiasing modes.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?
Very recent version (was most recent earlier today) (5.0-581, built from commit 077fa099e) -- error occurs
Can't seem to build 5.0 or 4.0.2. First one fails at CMake configuration, being unable to find the Foundation library, and the latter fails due to QuickTime headers being removed in 10.12
