Dolphin doesn't accept keyboard and controller input simultaneously

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Possibly a problem only on Linux.
Binding "Left Trigger" on the controller to "L-analog" and "1" to "L" won't work. It's for a GC Steam Controller config to implement full pull. The emulator picks up only the input that's selected in the configurator.
I remember on windows was able to make use both input methods back when I played through Sunshine.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Bind "Left Trigger" to "L-analog" and "1" to "L"
Go in a game (Tested on Super Mario Sunshine)
Depending what input method is selected in the configurator it will only accept input from that device.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
OS: Linux

Right click the boxes and you can select a different device for each button. We use a single master device to prevent issues where some controllers have off-center joysticks and can cause headaches configuring.
