Install Dolphin from the website, and i put it on my Documents folder.

What does the error message say? Just "Qt platform"?

This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be
initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: minimal, offscreen, windows.

It seems like modern versions of Qt simply don't support Vista. Using an old Qt version or switching to a different UI framework would have some pretty heavy repercussions for us, so it's not something we're going to do for an operating system this old and rare. Sorry, you'll have to use Windows 7 or newer if you want to use recent versions of Dolphin on Windows.
We should fix the readme file to no longer say that Dolphin might work on Vista, though: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/8572

Honestly, i probably won't upgrade to later versions of windows. I find them ethier a bloaty mess (in the case of Windows 10) or too over-rated (in the case of 7 and 8.1).
