Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- seems to happen more on wii games. i've tried NSMB, wii sports resort,
star trek conquest, and more)
- seems to happen more with D3D then openGL
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
when quitting dolphin, it should close cleanly. instead, it either hangs,
forcing a quit process, or, it crashes.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
using 5030 x32, xp sp3
Please provide any additional information below.
love the emu, keep up the great work. hopefully we'll see a friendly
closing version soon :)
on quitting dolphin? how so? i don't get such hang there o_O
it happens most of the time for me. if i start a game, i can exit or quit cleanly when
the wii warning screen is up. if i start a game and try quitting, i'd say 90% of the
time the emu locks up. maybe i have some conflict with some other process running?
does dolphin create a crash log? if so, i'd be happy to post next time it happens
what sound backend do you use?
does it happen both with HLE and LLE sound?
I have exactly the same problem here.
I'm using vista x64 and dolphin x64.
This was not the case with older versions. It is behaving like that with builds
released in the past two-three weeks or so. Sorry I do not remember with which
version this started to happen.
PS: I'm using HLE sound (openAL or dsound is the same). LLE is not working on my
side. (Produces very bad noise)
i did a bit more testing.
- LLE/dsound - no sound but exits cleanly
- LLE/openAL - no sound but exits cleanly
- HLE/openAL - sound and exits cleaning
- HLE/dsound - seems to be causing the crashing when exiting
this is weird, option 4 is what is "standard" and was crashing 90% of the time.
after playing around with 1 - 3 above, 4 isn't crashing when exiting now. i'm going
to try a newer rev and see if the same thing happens.
in the meantime, is there a log that i can look at for when dolphin crashes again?
Same problem here, when I play to Mario Kart Wii I can't quit the emulator "without
ctrl + alt + suppr".
P.S. : Dolphin r5045 on Windows 7 64bits, DirectX9 plugin, ATI HD5850
This specific problem seem resolve on the lasts builds.
