I pulled out the X1900 and tried it on a Radeon 4870 and it works fine, so it seems to be a problem with Nvidia cards.

I can confirm this occurs using an 8800GT, 9400M, and 9600 GT, all under 10.6.6.

For comparison, here's Wind Waker on Windows vs. Wind Waker on OS X, same hardware, same settings (except pixel lighting has been disabled on OS X since it doesn't work).

Have you configured the game properly in Dolphin emulator?
See the picture I've linked to.

I also have the same problem on:
game - Zelda Twilight Princess
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
system - mac os x 10.6.6
graphic card - NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
Can it be solved by downgrading the mac os?
Or this is can't be fixed unless I change the graphic card into ATI Radeon?

sorry I mean by downgrading to mac os leopard...

I too have this problem. I am using Lion 10.7.1 with the 9400/9600M GT. I tried with Dolphin 3.0 and built my own from source yesterday both having issues. Any insight to this?

There is a bug with OSX's Nvidia driver for the 9xxx series, Geforce 200 and above are fixed in Lion, there is no fix for any older hardware.

Thanks for the fast reply Sonicadvance1. That is a pretty big bummer. in your opinion, what is the likelihood that Nvidia driver for the 9 series would be updated in a future OSX update?
Updated by Sonicadvance1 about 13 years ago
Not very likely since Apple hates supporting more than two year old hardware

Issue 4823 has been merged into this issue.

Unlikely to be resolved, Apple just released a graphics update with 10.7.2 and the problem still exists. The problem seems to be caused by texture lighting in Mario Galaxy.
