Description
What's the problem?
The music doesn't seem to loop when the track is done, in Product Number 03 (aka P.N.03)
Dolphin version with the problem:
R6931
Operating system and version:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Game ID: GPNE08
Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?
i believe it's a plain dump
Please provide any additional information below.
The music doesn't seem to loop in the game. It just stop at the end and then no music until you restart the stage or get to another room. Is it a "normal" bug in the game (that also happen on a real Gamecube) or it's a bug in Dolphin?

What happens with LLE? HLE is not really supported/being worked anymore afaik. If you want accuracy, you have to use LLE, which is slower.
Updated by theraptor01 almost 14 years ago
when using LLE, i get DSP warnings about "DSP_rom.bin" and "DSP_coef.bin", and then it says that those files are "incorrect hash", i try choose "No" for both files, but the screen stay black and it doesn't start the game. So it seem it only work with HLE.

Go on the forums please and seek help there for this. Then come back after doing proper investigations and report findings.

just as a note, the problem is still present in R6944
Updated by wespipes69 almost 14 years ago
Of course! Why would it have changed in two god damn hours? Did you see any HLE modifications done in the last few revisions? Do you know what is going on here?
Stop commenting on this, and on this site, until you go learn how to use the emulator. Then come back on here with substantiated, investigated, knowlegeable, reliable findings that can actually help the project. Okay?
Use LLE properly and report back. Soemthing tells me it works fine with that, meaning this is not an issue at all.

It doesn't happen on Gamecube and unfortunately music stops even with LLE plugin...

Yes, I have the same issue even LLE DSP configuration.
The las versiĆ³n 3.0-307-dirty have the same issue

I wonder why sometimes the music loop
Updated by Line.Exon over 12 years ago
All i know is - BGM music in Resident Evil 4 cuts when some other sound appear or trying to ! For example - that sounds are = Ganados screams, dog barks, falling weapon sounds, e.t.c. ...
So if someone could fix that sound interruption - Issue 3998 will be gone.

You're talking about an HLE sound issue where LLE fixes it. Use LLE. Yes, it's going to be slower and you're going to need a faster processor, but that's what it takes to run games well. HLE has many issues that can't or won't be fixed.
Updated by hatarumoroboshi over 12 years ago
Unfortunately this issue affects LLE as well

tommyhl2, that was confirmed multiple times here.

I don't recall that happening for me, I'll have to redump the game and check again.

redcrow, being an impatient moron ain't gonna help fix it.
C'mon, this is an open-source project done in the devs' free time. They aren't paid for this, and you have no right to demand anything from them.
Updated by pauldacheez over 12 years ago
And it's just a petty audio glitch. How does that warrant repeatedly yelling "FIX IT"?
Updated by redcrown34 over 12 years ago
lack of music in games is not what I'd consider "petty", music is a major element to set the mood for a game
getting the sound to loop sounds like a pretty simple problem to solve compared to other issues
so could you please
Updated by pauldacheez over 12 years ago
I play a lot of games (in Dolphin and elsewhere) without sound, so I consider it pretty petty. Music does help to set the mood, but you can still live without. Or play your own music instead.
Audio issues aren't always simple - if they were, this bug would've been fixed long ago. And it's possible it's an issue with CPU emulation, as LM1234's previous comments state. CPU emulation ain't that simple, mate.
Also, we generally look down upon people who tell the devs to "FIX IT". So, stop that. They'll fix it when they have the time and can figure out what's wrong.

FYI:
"We have a limited storage quota on GoogleCode, so please use a 3rd party host for screenshots or any other files (http://min.us/ for example)"
You just wasted a bit of that quota on... a picture of a skeleton. A minuscule bit, but still, don't do that. Upload your skeleton pictures to imgur or somethin'. Or, better yet, don't include 'em at all - this isn't an imageboard.
I hope that's the last thing I have to tell you not to do...
(And sorry for the spam, other people who've starred this issue.)

Lol, I'm pretty sure the FIX IT FIX IT thing was a reference to Futurama.
