I have tested this on Ubuntu linux and all games that I have work with the other frameskip values. What other settings do you have? Maybe something else is conflicting.

Strange, i get a black screen by changing the value. But the game is actually running. Looks like a bug in the OpenGL-Plugin ( Or my Graphic Card ). On Softwarerenderer the Frameskipping is working.
Could someone test it on his own PC and subscribe his Specs?
My PC:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise 64bit
Intel Core I3 2100 @ 3.1Ghz
Nvidia Geforce GT 430 ( Driver 295.40 )
8GB DDR3 Ram 1333 MHZ

I'm getting similar results on OS X using OpenGL, except instead of a plain black screen I just see the last shown frame indefinitely.

It's a current 13" MacBook Air, with a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 and Intel HD Graphics 3000, and it's running Dolphin 3.0-651 on OS X 10.7.4.
I get the feeling that this doesn't have anything to do with hardware, though.

Sure thing, i think its the OpenGL Plugin too :(
Can someone test it with an AMD Graphiccard please?

- Status changed from Questionable to Invalid
- Relates to usability changed from Yes to No
- This has nothing to do with usability
- Having been using frameskip on Linux with different graphics cards, I don't recall this feature been broken in ages. Open a new (proper) bug report if the issue persists for you. Marking this one Invalid, since it has never been confirmed in the first place.
