Description

What's the problem?

  • The motion controls on Star Wars Force Unleashed randomly stops working (you can still move around with the sticks and fight with the buttons, but any control that requires moving the wiimote and the nunchuck is gone.)

  • It happens when I am using an official Nintendo Wiimote and Nunchuck, and even if I am using an emulated wiimote (with swing motions mapped on the keyboard and mouse)

  • The problem seems to be exclusive to Force Unleashed 2, since my wiimote's motion controls work fine in my other games (Wii Sports, Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3)

Dolphin version with the problem (as it appears in the title bar, Ex.: "R
4779" or "R 6403M"):

-I currently have r6284 and r7435 (sse3 optimized from emucr, no user patches/hacks). Both builds exhibit the problem.

-Both x64 builds

Operating system and version:
32-bit or 64-bit:

-Windows 7 64-bit

Was the ISO a plain dump from disc, compressed and/or scrubbed?

  • Originally playing a compressed dump, but even the uncompressed dump show the same problems.

Please provide any additional information below.

  • The loss of motion controls are random in the sense that I find no specific pattern or places where they occur. The duration in which I am able to use them could be anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 minutes. The only consistent thing about it is that once you play, the motion controls will eventually stop working.

  • Once the motion controls disappear, I need to reload the iso in order to get the controls working again (I don't need to restart dolphin itself. Just close and reload the iso)

  • I tried fiddling with most of the settings that I think would have some effect, like the motion control sensitivity, fiddling with the MMU and the MMU speedhack, using single core and disabling idle skpping. Nothing has affected the wiimote problems. I even tried using different types of emulated wii motes like the keyboard+mouse and a usb gamepad.
