Just compiled the latest version, and everything works just fine... Maybe you could get better feedback/help over at the forums.

@iandy
I can attest to Knuddelrrochen errors, I'm getting the EXACT same crash with every update past 3.0, with every game I have WII & GC, and I have had nothing but headaches over at the forums. It seems, at least from my experience, If a thread asking for help with the Mac version of dolphin, they either get almost completely ignored and fade into obscurity, or the only answer they give is dual-boot or buy a pc laptop. The only useful help I've ever received was from moderators or third party forums.
I don't know if this would cause the crash but I'm only running snow leopard.
Here are my Specs
10.6.8 Snow Leopard
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
4 Gb Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB

You have a good point about the forums being VERY unfriendly towards Mac users...
I find it very strange that you're having the same error when you're on a completely different OS version, and here I am on Lion, and everything's fine. Could it be a problem with X11? Have you tried repairing permissions in Disk Utility?
Updated by danialhorton about 13 years ago
LION may improve gibs experience while it may destroy the ops,
why?
new drivers included in the update. AMD's opengl client support regressed a great deal of late, particularly on linux and mac with the R700 series gpu's, while nvidia's improved a fair bit.
Updated by Gibari about 13 years ago
Would I be able to get the drivers without installing Lion? I don't really want to update my os JUST for dolphin
Updated by danialhorton about 13 years ago
apart from the cuda driver, nvidia doesn't appear to host any newer than june 2010

Picking OSX to run Dolphin over Windows would be like entering a race, having a Corvette and a Civic to choose from, then you get into the Civic and wonder why you lost. Dolphin runs really well with Windows, not very well with OSX. You do have some options though, you can either start writing code that helps Dolphin work with OSX better, use Windows, or keep using OSX and enjoy bitching and moaning and running into issues that no one else is. "These are the facts of the case, and they are undisputed." Just a little movie quote there for good measure.:D

..."use Windows, or keep using OSX and enjoy bitching and moaning and running into issues that no one else is. "These are the facts of the case, and they are undisputed.""
Facts? Fact, I have used Dolphin on OSX to run about seven GC games with little to no problem at all. Fact, I've used Dolphin on my Mac to run several Wii games as well. Fact, Dolphin DOES work on OSX pretty decently depending on your system. Fact, OSX is supported by the dev's.
These are the kind of comments that turn people away from using the forums. Thanks for bringing them over here too...

I Installed the drivers as per the instructions in the link provided, Then also installed the cuda drivers, but still all my games crashed in any version past 3.0. Though one observation I did make was while every GC game I tried (Gotcha Force, Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble, Final Fantasy: CC all games I have played all they way through to the end on previous versions) crashed on start up, the wii games I tried (Kirby's Return to Dreamland and Xenosaga Chronicles ) didn't crash on start up, rather after I got to a title screen, and tried to start a new game, which triggers a cutsscene, which both games crashed before the cutscene started (Kirby gave me a unknown pointer error and xenosaga's fps just slowed to a crawl during the loading screen before it and crashed). Sorry if this is totally useless information but here's my errorlog as well.

kirby is not supported on 3.0, you need a recent compile with SD Slot 2 supported to get in game.

This is not a discussion forum nor a refuse for MAC users to talk about all their crazy problems. Go have the discussion on the official forums or somewhere else. This place is ONLY for specific bug reporting.

First thanks really a lot to the devs that support the Mac version of Dolphin! :D
Same symptoms: Main Game Selection screen displays normal and all options work. As soon as I double click to start any game, a window opens with title 'clearing code cash', the title changes to other info (version number, etc.) and then crashes. Sometimes I start Dolphin and it asks me if I want to restore windows (see screenshot) - when I choose Yes a wxWidgets Debug Alert appears (See screenshot). At retry the same crash happens.
I tried to disable audio and use software renderer to no avail.
OSx Crash Report and System Report attached.
Thanks a lot to anyone looking into it ;) :)

"Fact, OSX is supported by the dev's."
ehhh..... I think all of our OSX devs left a while ago, so no one can really fix these issues.
Could try going to JitCache.h and undefining JIT_UNLIMITED_ICACHE which is on line 30

Well it's possible to launch Dolphin in 32bit mode on Mac OS X (via Finder > File > Get Info ), then it doesn't crash...so there must be something with the 64bit libraries (or it can also be a gcc-llvm compiler bug)..
Updated by knuddelrochen almost 13 years ago
you are right it works !!!! very thanks to you !!!

Does this bug still happen with the last Dolphin revision?
Updated by jroseff almost 13 years ago
This seems to be a LLVM-GCC problem, if you switch the compiler path from /Developer/usr/bin/llvm-gcc and /Developer/usr/bin/llvm-g++ to /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 and /usr/bin/g++-4.2 in SConstruct Dolphin runs quite well.
At any rate LLVM-GCC is deprecated now and has been removed from LLVM 3.0, so this should probably be switched in master.

All I can say is that the web site's binary and the latest Dolphin from git Work For Me(tm) on Mac OS 10.7.2 on my system. And that in #dolphin-emu on efnet (irc.prison.net, etc) there are at least two Mac OS devs (mth and LPFaint99) and several testers (my name's dtm there, and some other kind and responsible and mature adults are testing the build process in virtual machines). Even if that wasn't true, end the childish naysaying and bullying, and abusing bug reports as a form of chat. Obviously, the entire platform did not permanently break. Back to the forums and IRC!
Also, we are testing the migration from scons to cmake/make.
