Description

The option "Fast Mipmaps" in the Hacks section of video configuration is enabled by default, but it causes some glitches (at least on Ati/Amd video cards) in Metroid Prime (no falling snow), in Zelda Twilight Princess (no light beam), in Mario Kart Wii (blurred road) and maybe in other games as well...so wouldn't it be safer to have the "Fast Mipmaps" option unticked by default?

Super Mario Sunshine has water issues with it too, among other games. I'd say yeah it should not be set as default, I'd even go as far to say that it should be removed completely.

Hires textures pack need fast mipmaps ticked option to work ok.

Also here with this optin "ticked" in Metroid Prime (haa falling snow) (at least on Nvidia video cards with the driver 285.62 WHQL) and Mario Kart Wii here need Disable fog ticked to work well. (Ati/Amd video cards don't need this option in MK Wii)

Hires textures work fine even with native mipmaps since the texcache-cleanup merge.

Í see...So maybe the "Fast Mipmaps" option should be "unticked" by default
