Description
[The following is a template to help you fill out a more informative
report]
Note:
Many games do not run yet, or have known problems. Please do not report
those games without giving any more information. That means reports like
"Game XYZ crashes" are not helpful. Instead try to include as much debug
information as possible. Also try to search the issue tracker for similar
bugs before creating a new issue.
--------------------------------------
- Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
"RSBE01", etc):
Resident Evil 0 - GBZP08
2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The characters have no light. They are grayed/black
3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
4) What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.
5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
I'm using a Macbook Pro mid 2012 64bit. Processor: Intel core i7 2.3, 8gb RAM, NVidia Geforce GT650M
6) Please provide any additional information below.
7) Attachments. IMPORTANT! We have a limited storage quota on
GoogleCode, so please use a 3rd party host for screenshots or any other
files (http://min.us/ for example).

But checking if the issue is reproducable on Win/Lin, similar hardware or similar settings is still useful.
Could someone try this game with the OpenGL backend?
@paulojgraca: could you also post your graphics settings?

i'm running it on OpenGL backed, Is it because of that? I don't even know if exists DirectX for mac :s
Updated by paulojgraca about 12 years ago
nope, there isn't an option for disable lightning on hacks tab. I just downloaded trhe latest version for Mac OS. I tried it with older versions too, but the problem remains

We can't help you with the following infos:
- Dolphin version
- Screenshots of all of your graphics settings

Dolphin Version is 3.0-735 (But I tried all the other versions available on the website, to see if it was a problem with the latest. It happens everytime).

Try turning your Anti-Aliasing setting down. Try it set to off and see if it helps first.
Updated by paulojgraca about 12 years ago
nope. the problem remains even with the anti-aliasing set to off :(

I was thinking if this isn't an issue with the new Mac OS. I upgraded to mountain lion a week ago

I noted also that everytime I try to load a save state (F1, F2, F3...) Dolphin just crashes. I think there's some kind of compatiblity problem with OS X V10.8
Updated by tommyhl2.SS about 12 years ago
My guess is a video driver issue.
About the savestates, does the Resident Evil character look like that because you loaded a savestate? Try without using savestates if that's the case. Try updating your video drivers as well.
Updated by paulojgraca about 12 years ago
well, video drivers for mac osx come with the update of the OS, i can't get them from nvidia website, nor anywhere else i guess. and no, the characters from resident evil, zelda, etc, appear like that whether i use savestates or not. i cant even use them because it crashes dolphin

This issue does not occure on Win 7 x64 with Dolphin 3.0-748
Updated by bgtsetso about 12 years ago
Forgot to mention that I tested both Opengl and DX9 and they were both fine.
Updated by paulojgraca about 12 years ago
maybe it's a problem with the mac osx version
Updated by OMEGA345 about 12 years ago

Updated by OMEGA345 about 12 years ago

This is a duplicate of Issue 3325. This is that one infamous lighting bug specific to Nvidia GPUs under OS X.
