What went wrong?

  • Frame rate is varies from 50% ~ 100%
  • Low GPU utilization especially on the high performance card (~40% on Intel, ~15% on Nvidia)

What did you expect to happen?

  • Smoother frame rate or high CPU & GPU utilization

  • Using Laptop with Optimus driver (2 Graphic cards)

What version of Dolphin were you using?

  • 64 bit Dolphin?

OS: 64 bit Windows 7
RAM: 8 GB
CPU: i7 2.2GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

You have a quad-core CPU with hyperthreading, which Windows stupidly displays as eight cores with no distinction between the logical cores and physical cores. Dolphin can only use two threads at once (and there's really no way for Dolphin to split its work into more threads) and doesn't use much GPU power in general (compared to modern games). This isn't unusual, and this isn't a bug - ask on the forums next time. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/

Rename the dolphin.exe to "SkyrimLauncher.exe"
