I was going to make this a duplicate because this issue has come up a lot, but, uh, there's no direct issue for this that I can find. Only the zFreeze implementation issue. Because I don't have evidence that it completely fixes the game (in that branch yet,) I'll accept this. zFreeze implementation may completely fix the game when it's done.

The zFreeze branch seems to fix the flickering of the ground under the characters, but now the characters are invisible!

The court draws in front of the characters; it may just be a minor problem.
Updated by maartenpeters about 11 years ago
But not looked at that, there seem no other big problems. These graphical Glitches also occur with the Wii version of Mario Power Tennis.

But Mario Power Tennis also still seems to have the issue that the camera goes to some place, so you can't see the field and the characters anymore and have to change the internal settings to fix this. At the wiki page it talks about the POV-issue.
Updated by maartenpeters about 11 years ago
The POV-issue is only mentioned at the wiki page about the Wii version, but it also occurs at the GC-version.
Updated by dmitri.amariei about 11 years ago
The POV is fixed if you switch to OpenGL, the rest of the glitches still appear.

@7: you're right and the D3D renderer still has this POV issue.....

I'm having the same issue. Any updates on the fix?
Updated by JMC4789 almost 11 years ago
To my knowledge some of the glitches will be fixed by the zFreeze branch, but the other glitches have not been attempted in quite a while. Last I remember SOMEONE tried to fix the spikey polygons but couldn't without breaking other stuff.

I can't reproduce this issue so I'm not making a new report for it but I thought I would post it here just so it was documented somewhere. I had a situation where the character select image was replaced with part of a game screen.

After restarting the game I haven't been able to get this glitch to reoccur. This is in 4.0-3530.
Updated by JMC4789 about 10 years ago
That is caused by opening the graphics settings I think? And corrupting certain EFB copies.
Updated by PEmu about 10 years ago
I didn't open the graphics settings when that issue occurred.
Updated by pauldacheez about 10 years ago
If you opened the graphics settings at any point in-game, this could've happened.
Updated by JMC4789 about 10 years ago
yeah, it invalidates stuff stored and overrides it. Turning on EFB2Ram will prevent it period.
Updated by PEmu about 10 years ago
I don't remember opening the graphics settings at any point when playing the game. I had been playing for about 10 minutes when that happened.

Okay I'm posting yet another graphical glitch here. I wasn't originally going to as I can't figure out how to reproduce it exactly but I've gotten the same issue multiple times at this point so I figured it was worth reporting.

The issue is that instead of displaying the score the scoreboard instead just shows a dark yellow square. This glitch has only occurred for me when playing on the clay court and typically with the score being 15 or 30. It happens only infrequently though so I don't know what exactly is causing it.
This is in 4.0-4031 but I've had it happen in older revisions too.

Everything except some minor lighting problems should be fixed.
