Emulator Issues #6806
closedCrash Nitro Kart (GC) Unplayable - All Players/CPU Constantly Being Re-spawned
0%
Description
Game Name: Crash Nitro Kart
Game ID: GCNE7D
What went wrong?
In short, this game is currently unplayable. All players including CPU players are being re-spawned the second the race starts. For some strange reason it appears the game believes that everybody is "out of bounds" and thus re-spawns the vehicles back onto the track. This is a process that just keeps on repeating itself over and over.
Simply fire up a Single Player quick race and the problem shall be replicated.
After some testing it appears 4.0-325 is the culprit here, as the game runs fine on 4.0-324.
Here are some screenshots I've taken demonstrating this problem:

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
Essentially 4.0-291 (as I knew this game worked very recently) and worked my way up to the latest development build.
Which version of Dolphin used to work:
4.0-324
64 bit Operating System & Dolphin Version. Intel 4670k CPU, AMD 7950 GPU.
I hope this helps. If you require anything else then I'm more than happy to assist! Thank you.

So can anyone please upload a fifo log of such an issue? As it's BP only, I guess this issue can be triggered in a fifo log.

No problem. As requested here is a 10 frame Fifo-Log showing the error I described in Crash Nitro Kart. I hope it helps!

This can now be marked as fixed. Tested on build 4.0-398 and the game is now functional again!
Thank you.

Hm, I can't see who has fixed this issue, but it's confirmed to be fixed.
If someone has too much spare time, maybe you can find which commit fixes it?

Well, I can narrow it down slightly for you.
4.0-330 - Game still crashes
4.0-356 - Game works fine again
I can't test anything in between due to the whole build bot issues at the time of those revisions, thus no Windows versions to download. I can't compile myself either unfortunately. Looking at them I don't know what fixed it, but it's fixed nonetheless. Thanks.

In the other topic related to this, Skid said 4.0-336 was working fine. Test around there.
