Description

  • Game Name?
    Arc Rise Fantasia

  • Game ID?
    RPJE7U

  • What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Basically in Dolphin versions 3.0, in-game speed is fine but FMVs go out of sync. In 4.0+, FMVs are in sync but slowdown occurs in certain areas.

  • What did you expect to happen instead?
To have normal speeds pretty much, especially in latest versions of Dolphin. Googling around and I see claims of such and such being fixed in this and that version, but ARF still seems to have issues with Dolphin for me it seems.

  • What steps will reproduce the problem?
The problem is most noticeable in areas like Jada (the main square) or Royal City (pretty much everywhere), in some FMVs like meeting the two sisters for the first time in Manderelo Coast (VERY noticeable), or and in battlefields of Dragon Prison (quite noticeable), first fight with Deathchanter (quite noticeable), beaches (somewhat noticeable), or the first fight with the two sisters in Manderelo Coast (much noticeable).

  • Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

4.0-1763

  • Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

As said before, I think only Dolphin versions before 4.0 -- basically, the ones that still have the icon with the blue square and white person -- have decent/normal speeds for in-game. However, the versions before 4.0 also present a problem of their own - FMVs whose visuals and audio go out of sync of each other.

  • What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
    System, CPU and GPU)

Windows 8.1 64-bit
Intel Core i3-3120M CPU, 2.50GHz (4 CPUs)
4.0 GB RAM
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

  • Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?

64-bit

  • Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
    configuration files)

Tried Direct3D and OpenGL, same results. Didn't use the anti-alias or filtering features. Disabling Fog doesn't help. Changing Framelimit to 60 or Audio doesn't seem to have noticeable (I love that word) effect, and Off makes things TOO fast. Audio is HLE.
