Emulator Issues #7549
closedBlack Models in Mario Kart Wii with OpenGL, not Direct3D

Description
Game Name?
Mario Kart Wii
Game ID?
RMCE01
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
In any kind of race ,(including intros in Grand Prixs) several models on the track are black, including player vehicles.Oddly, sometimes you can see some parts of a "blacked out model" correctly, I am not to sure how to trigger this though. This only happens when using OpenGL as a video backend, Direct3D is fine (other then minor unrelated glitches).
What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the models to have textures, as Direct3D shows.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Create a new licence after the title screen(the mii does not matter).
2.After going into single player, the mode doesn't matter, allthogh for testing, I suggest time trials.
3.Go into any course.
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
Dolphin 4.0-2446
4.0-2314
4.0
3.5
3.0
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
I tried 3.5 and 3.0, but when I used OpenGL, the game kept on crashing in the menus, so I couldn't test it in a race.Once again,Direct3D was fine.Versions 4.x Gave the same result as before.
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Windows 8, i7-3520M. I'm not sure where to find my GPU, but I have a "Intel HD Graphics 4000" graphics card.
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

This is likely an Intel HD 4000 bug that we cannot do anything about. Though, if it was happening before 4.0-1288, then it's not the same one as the usual suspect.

Heh, I didn't check the D3D image, I took your word for it. Either way, that makes it look more like an Intel HD Driver bug. I don't know how else to check though. I do not get this bug on my computer.
