Description

Game Name?
F-Zero GX

Game ID?
GFZE01

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Basically all the errors you get with MMU Speedhack off are happening when it's on.

What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected the game to not give me errors all the time. The cars also start in odd positions, so they end up flying off to their doom by the second track in Ruby Cup (Split Oval).

What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]

  1. Enabled MMU Speedhack
  2. Played Ruby Cup in Novice
  3. By Split Oval the game loses the will to live, as all cars start at the side of the track and when I get the retirement message, the game give me loads of errors.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-3514

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
No.

What are your PC specifications?
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
RAM: 16.0 GB
Processor: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core
4.00 GHz
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

Is there any other relevant information?
The game works better in OpenGL. In Direct3D, the game just makes me fall to my death in the first race.
The game also keeps on telling me I'm going the wrong way.

Can you give the disc MD5 of the ISO? Should be able to do it on the info tab of the game properties page when you right click a disc in the Dolphin gamelist.

Check your dump whether it is good or not. Compute md5 hash in the game properties info tab and compare it with redump.org isos.

Ok, i was beaten to it by JMC. Also try to find since which build this issue started happening if your dump is fine.

  • Status changed from New to Questionable

Yay, someone reporting an issue that has a good dump! Anyway, can you try redownloading Dolphin into a new folder, creating portable.txt in the exe directory, then running the game? It should work then. I'm betting your INIs got messed up.

Again, I can't reproduce here, so marking as questionable.

OK, it seems to be working when I redownloaded Dolphin.

I don't know what happened with my regular Dolphin folder, as even Brawl is getting errors it should never have.

Time to wipe your configs, then.
